Before you send me hate mail, this is my artist's statement:

I have something to say,
—softly “Love this world.”
Sometimes I like to play,
—so many things are beautiful.
Sometimes the news of the day,
—makes me need to scream.

I wasn't thinking until the photos of Paul Johnson online hit me like a train wreck. He looked like a great guy. He was my age. We could have been friends or family. He was doing no harm. I couldn't stand the thought that we walk through our normal days without spending even a moment to notice.

This is how I scream.
